2017 NCAA FINAL FOUR- DOWNTOWN MORATORIUM ON ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES (3/24-4/4/27)

As you know, major events will be held in downtown Phoenix during later March 2017 and Early April 2017 in celebration of the NCAA Final Four and associated events. To minimize any disruption in traffic and unnecessary travel delays during this time, it is imperative that all maintenance and construction activities be curtailed near the downtown area (bounded by Interstate 18 to the south, McDowell Road to the North, Interstate 17 to the west and Interstate 10 / State Route 51 to the east) during these major events unless approved in writing by the Right-of-Way Management Office. Specifically, no work will be allowed in this area between Friday, March 24, and Tuesday, April 4, unless approved in advance.

Although normal construction and maintenance activities in conflict with event traffic will be suspended during this period, emergency repairs will still be allowed. The City reserves the right to suspend work activities in other parts of the City , as necessary, to facilitate traffic flow for residents and visitors during this time.

Your cooperation in suspending work during these important events is very much appreciated. If you have any question or concerns about whether your project will be allowed during this time period, please call the Right-of-Way Management Office at 602-262-6235.
